This plugin allows executing Groovy scripts within a running instance of Geneious. Groovy scripts can use the Geneious Public API in the same way a plugin does and since the Groovy programming language is an extension of Java you can actually write (or paste -- eg from the Public API examples) straight Java code and it will work.

Workflows is now recommended over the Groovy Console for writing scripts. It can be accessed via the Tools menu.

Install the plugin by downloading the gplugin file and dragging it in to Geneious or use the plugin manager in Geneious (under Tools - Plugins in the menu).

Once installed, click on Console in the toolbar to open the console in a new window where you can start scripting. Refer to Links for further assistance.
