Geneious Prime 2026.1 Feature Overview

Geneious Prime 2026.1 introduces one-step multi-insertion Parts Cloning for non-contiguous fragment assembly, expands CRISPR analysis with multiple simultaneous algorithms and new on- and off-target scoring, adds circular sequence alignment and much more.

One-step multiple insertion point Parts Cloning (Enterprise only)

Quickly build constructs with non-contiguous fragments inserted at multiple locations within your backbone vector in a single step. Circular backbones are now accepted and can be linearized by selecting a cut point, or by excising an annotation or interval to create the insertion site.

Run multiple CRISPR algorithms at once

The Find CRISPR Sites operation now runs multiple algorithms simultaneously from the Cloud Workspace, saving time when evaluating guide RNA candidates across different scoring methods. Two new scoring algorithms have been added: the Cutting Frequency Determination off-target score published by Doench et al. (2016), and a new on-target scoring algorithm published by Doench et al. (2022) that accounts for tracrRNA variants.
